Job Title: Accountant III

Department: Finance

Summary:

Third of three levels of professional general accounting work. The job typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent. The job may also be referred to as Senior Accountant or Staff Accountant. Under direction from management and using independent judgment, performs advanced and specialized accounting assignments, usually involving complex and confidential data. Obtains and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations. Provides work leadership and direction to other accountants and clerical workers. May also provide special project assistance to the CFO, Controller or Accounting Manager.

• Banking

• Taxes

• Cash Flow Scheduling

• Expense Reports

• Invoicing (AR)

• Payables (AP)

• Month End Reports

• Payroll

• Insurance (Health, Workers’ Comp, Auto)

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

• Strong Background in accounting and finance both manufacturing and software companies

• Four year accounting degree with a minimum of three-five years of direct job experience

• A first-hand work experience with QB Enterprise manufacturing software, a positive

• Ability to work in a team environment and evaluate accounting controls and procedures

• Can work well in creating structure in an entrepreneurial unstructured environment

• Has demonstrated ability to work well in a cash constrained environments

• Has demonstrated ability to get the best out of vendors and service providers

• Is detail oriented and is willing to generate invoices, pay bills, and move inventory, themselves

• Has the ability to work with outside accountants, payroll companies, and banking relationships

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate new / complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

• Must be a U.S. citizen or hold permanent residency as we are unable to sponsor candidates
